West Virginia Caring will be hosting its 23rd annual bereavement camp for kids, Camp Caring, on August 3rd, 2019 at Camp Mountaineer in Monongalia County, WV.

 

Camp Caring is held to support adolescents, ages 6-14, in WV that have experienced the death of a love one.  Focusing on large and small group activities, the Camp empowers each adolescent with the ability to express their grief and successfully cope with their feeling of loss and trauma. Camp Caring runs optional  concurrent sessions for the adults(s) in the child’s life. The purpose is that each family member is individual strengthened and supported so that the entire family can move forward together to a place of a new normal. 

 

Camp Caring is a free all day event!

Free One-Day Bereavement Camp for children, ages 6-14, and the adults who love them. 

Camp Caring is a one day camp held to support children and teens in WV that have lost a loved one in recent years.  Focusing on large and small group activities, the Camp empowers each child to be able to express their grief and successfully cope with the feelings of loss and trauma.

Camp Caring runs optional concurrent sessions for the

adult(s) in the child’s life. The purpose is that each family member is individually strengthened and supported so that the entire family can move forward together to a place of new normal.
